Head toward the western mountain border of the map and look for a giant waterfall cutting through the cliffs. The easiest way to recognize the area is by spotting the massive waterfall from a distance. Once you’re close, take the winding dirt road that leads into the forested canyon. The road eventually climbs toward the temple area. As you drive deeper into the canyon, you’ll see the bright-red temple buildings sitting high above the waterfall basin. The structure overlooks the water and is surrounded by dense trees and rocky cliffs, making it one of the most atmospheric places in the game. What Makes This Location ImportantThis hidden area is connected to several activities in the game, so most players eventually end up visiting it. Discover Japan Photo ChallengeThe Temple of Nachi Falls is part of the Discover Japan collection journal. To complete the challenge, park on the dirt path facing the temple and open Photo Mode. The important part is framing both the red temple structures and the waterfall in the same shot. If either one is missing or partially blocked, the challenge usually will not trigger correctly. After lining up the shot properly, the journal entry should complete instantly. Treasure Car LocationAnother reason players visit this area is the hidden Treasure Car parked near the waterfall pool. The abandoned car here is the 1995 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III GSR. It sits directly on the dirt path near the base of the falls. Once you drive close enough, the discovery notification appears and permanently unlocks the vehicle for your garage. If you enjoy classic rally cars, this is definitely one of the better hidden finds in the game. Nachi Falls TrailblazerThe temple area also serves as an anchor point for the Nachi Falls Trailblazer event. Because the roads around the waterfall are narrow and winding, it can be a surprisingly challenging stunt depending on the car you use. Off-road rally builds tend to work best here because the dirt paths and elevation changes can easily throw heavier street-focused cars off course. Best Time to VisitThis location looks especially good during rainy weather or early morning lighting. The mist around the waterfall and the forest atmosphere make it feel very different from the cities and highways elsewhere on the map. It’s also a good place for taking screenshots because the red temple contrasts nicely against the dark cliffs and flowing water. The Temple of Nachi Falls feels like one of those locations the developers clearly wanted players to discover naturally while exploring. It combines scenic driving roads, hidden collectibles, photography challenges, and stunt activities all in one place.
